Lots of segregated areas on the hotel without a clear orientation. Scheduling meals was a lot of effort. The experience on the dining was a mix of good food and poor service and ambience.
The restaurants in general have poor acoustics and a lot of noise. The cleaning of the room was missed in 2 of the 6 days. The transportation, that should be a must in hotel this size, was scarce, and when it appears normally it was full.
The entertainment availability was not actualized properly. Affff There was heights also, the food is generally very good, there was some attendants that were very attentive and the spa experience was great.

The check-in process was long due to my arriving on a holiday, and the young lady who checked me in gave me no information about the resort.
However, as we waited for our room to be ready 1 hr , we ate lunch at Ciao. The waiter service was impeccable.
They noticed I had a large handbag and brought over a stand to hold my bag without my having to request it. The food presentation and flavors were phenomenal.
After getting to our room, I went to explore. A guest services supervisor was riding by and stopped to assist me. Erika Quispe provided me with an impromptu tour of the property to help familiarize me with the grounds.
She set up dinner reservations for both nights of my stay and a golf cart rental. Her stellar customer service really set the tone for the rest of the trip.
We had dinner at the Brazilian restaurant and Zen. The service there were also impeccable. We ate lunch at Isla while lounging by the pool.
I will most definitely return to this hotel. The grounds were well kept, the room was amazing and the amenities were unmatched.

Beautiful beach, Nice People, Aging Resort. My family of 4 including 2 sons ages 15 and 19 had a great time here from Dec 26 to Jan 3.
Airports and planes were clean, everyone wore masks. You are not handed a map of the hotel or any menus at the restaurants.
Everything is done by scanning a QR code on your phone. This does not include a butler. When we checked in, Lis from the concierge team helped us book our restaurant reservations.
She also kept asking us to attend a 1. But despite her persistence calling us at 9 AM for 3 days straight , we didn't want to go because I'm not into breakfast and didn't want to leave the resort for any excursions due to COVID concerns.
We didn't think things like mini golf or the Flo Rider should have extra cost. Some items on the ala carte menus also had extra charges, so I wouldn't call this a true all inclusive resort.
Julian checked us in there and he was very nice. It could use some updates like USB charging ports and TVs that stream, but overall it was clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Date of visit: December Meanwhile, two other tourists have died after taking a drink from their minibars at a different resort, the Bahia Principe La Romana, also in Punta Cana.
Relatives of year-old Yvette Monique Sport, also of Pennsylvania, said Sport died in June after drinking one drink from the minibar.
She went to bed shortly afterwards and never woke up, the family said. An autopsy report listed the cause of death as a heart attack, but a toxicology report — having been promised to the family — has never been produced.
But on Friday, Fox News learned that the FBI had joined the investigation, an indication that the possibility is at least being considered they are not the result of natural causes as listed on the autopsy reports.
Americans comprise just over half of the six million tourists who visit the Dominican Republic each year.
One theory suggests the solution to the mystery may be environmental and the fatalities could be related to the use of dangerous pesticides, for example.
I had sever uncontrollable diarrhea. I asked my friends to bring me back some of the DR drink called Mamma Janna that they serve as a shot.
I opened it later that evening and had a shot of it, not even 10 minutes later I had severe vomiting. I threw it away.
She gave me 2 bottles. I will gladly turn the other one in for testing. I took pictures of it and sent it to our new friend in Punta Cana.
He said a lot of people try to make it , but not successful. It has spices, roots and other ingredients in it. It tasted very bitter. We brought home the spices in a bottle and added the alcohol in it ourselves.
I enjoy it. Please let me know if this bottle and brand can be tested. Maybe we can find out something about people getting sick.
My friend said I probably had an allergic reaction to what was in it.
